Completing Activities

Activities are the heart of Impactful. Whether you are joining an organisation-led event, taking on a flexible informal activity, or acting on an AI-generated idea, every completed activity earns you Impact Coins and builds your social impact record.

Understanding Activity Types

There are three types of activity on Impactful:

Viewing Activity Details

Before you commit, tap any activity to view its details. You will see:

• Description of what the activity involves
• Duration or estimated time commitment
• Location where it takes place (if applicable)
• Outcomes such as skills you will develop
• Classifications showing which causes the activity supports
• Instructions with step-by-step guidance

Registering for an Activity

Some activities require registration before you can take part. Tap the Register button on the activity detail page and complete any required steps such as consent forms, custom questions, or legal documents. Your registration may be auto-approved or require review by the organisation.

Following the Instructions

Once registered (and approved, if needed), open the activity and review the Instructions section. This provides a step-by-step guide for completing the activity, including:

• What you need to prepare
• Where to go (if location-based)
• What to do during the activity
• How to record your participation

Completing the Activity

When you are ready to submit your completion:

1. Open the activity from your Home tab
2. Tap Complete Activity or Submit
3. Fill in the completion form:
   • Data capture fields — answer any required questions
   • Location confirmation — confirm where you completed the activity
   • Evidence — upload photos or videos if requested
4. Tap Submit to finish

Earning Impact Coins

After completing an activity, you will see a summary screen showing:

• The activity details and what you achieved
• The number of Impact Coins you earned
• Your updated total balance

The number of coins you earn depends on the activity type and configuration. You can also earn bonus coins by sharing your completion on social media.

After Completion

Once you have completed an activity:

• It appears in your Home tab under your activities
• You can view it in your Archived Activities via your profile
• You can share your achievement on social media for bonus coins
• Your leaderboard ranking may update based on your activity

Troubleshooting

My registration is still pending

The organisation needs to approve your registration manually. You will receive a notification once they have reviewed it. This can take a few days.

I cannot find the Complete button

Make sure you have followed all the activity instructions first. Some activities require you to visit a specific location or complete prerequisite steps before the completion option appears.

My evidence did not upload

Check your internet connection and try again. Make sure the photo or video is not too large. If the problem persists, try taking a new photo directly from the app.
